This beautiful Cartier Divan 2600 is in excellent condition, as it was just serviced by Cartier. The history of Cartier begins in 1847, in that year Louis-François Cartier took over his master's workshop and started the jewelry house Cartier. After opening a store in Paris, the first store abroad was opened in 1902. This happened in London and two years later King Edward VII of the United Kingdom appointed Cartier purveyor to the Royal Household with the words; “the jeweler of kings and the king of jewelers”. Many royal families followed in the years that followed. Cartier is known worldwide for its jewelry but has also made history in the watch industry. In 1888 the first watches exclusively for women were introduced by Cartier. This women's exclusivity changed in 1904, when Louis Cartier gave his friend, Brazilian aviation pioneer, Santos Dumont a watch to wear during his flights. The Cartier Santos is one of the signature watches in the Cartier collection to this day.
