Moments of Happiness in Amsterdam
Spring has come! Normally, many people visit Amsterdam in spring. This year will be very different, just like last year. We would still like to share some of our moments of happiness in our beautiful city with you, our valued partners.
Everyone strives for happiness. But what does happiness really mean? Happiness stands for satisfaction, it’s a feeling and is all about positive emotions. Happiness can be expressed in moments.
On March 20, we celebrated the International Day of Happiness. In recent years, the Netherlands has been in the top 10 of the happiest countries in the world. We completely agree and are proud of the hidden gems that the Netherlands and Amsterdam in particular have to offer.

A moment of pride "The old Diamond Exchange is an amazing and alluring building that is now beautifully restored. It’s a true icon for Amsterdam as a diamond city! To me it’s extra special, because it is located opposite the former GASSAN building. From the Diamond Exchange you can still see my grandfather Samuel Gassan’s initials in gold on our former building. My grandfather is the founder or our company. For me, the Diamond Exchange is a location of great value."

A moment of reflection "At Dam Square, I feel very connected to Amsterdam; Dam Square is the beating heart of the city. You feel it in everything and being there gives me a strong feeling of happiness. The Royal Palace is a true icon and we are very proud to have our GASSAN Dam Square store opposite the palace."
A moment of joy "When I look out over our beautiful Amsterdam from here, it feels like the world is at our feet! The beautiful view gives a feeling of freedom and happiness. A feeling that seemed so normal up until a year ago. But right now, we all realize how precious and special this feeling really is."
