The Swiss watch brand Rado was founded in 1917 by the three Schlup brothers. For nearly three decades, creativity and technology have been at the forefront of its product line. The result is unique masterpieces produced with exceptional craftsmanship. Rado is responsible for the first scratch-resistant watch: the DiaStar 1. Since then, the brand has been among the top watchmakers in the world. Rado watches are recognizable by their smooth and stylish designs. To date, at least ten different Rado collections have been released. GASSAN also sells Rado watches in its boutiques. Visit one of our four stores in Amsterdam. Rado True
The Rado True collection is available in various ceramic colors: black, metallic, and white. Some models are designed by renowned designers, such as Sam Amoia, architect Oskar Zieta, and Rainer Mutsch. There is a separate line of True Thinline models, featuring extremely slim watch cases with a lighter weight. The watches have a so-called monobloc case, meaning that the case is made from a single piece.
Rado Diamaster
The DiaMaster is the classic variant among Rado watches. It is the successor to the very first scratch-resistant watch: the DiaStar 1. A DiaMaster features a large dial and a case made of ceramic or carbon steel. You can choose a watch strap in leather, ceramic, or steel. The minimalist model is robust and comes with either a quartz or automatic movement.
Rado Ceramica
The Ceramica was designed in 1990 by industrial designer Konstantin Grcic and is one of Rado’s cornerstone models. It is the first watch made entirely from durable ceramic. The original Rado watch is known for its square case with an equally wide bracelet. The models are available in black, gray, and white. The Rado watch has a minimalist look and is available for both men and women.
Rado Centrix
The bracelet of the Rado Centrix collection is made of ceramic. The watch case is made of stainless steel with a PVD coating. Some variants feature an open dial, allowing you to see the movement underneath. These models are known as the Open Heart models. There is also a Rado Centrix Diamonds version with set diamonds.
